Philadelphia Eagles Bring Back Former Auburn Offensive Lineman

Eagles Sign Greg Robinson to One-Year Deal

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed former Auburn offensive lineman Greg Robinson to a one-year contract, the team announced Tuesday. Robinson, a two-time All-American and the 2013 NFL Draft's No. 2 overall pick, spent last season with the Cleveland Browns.

Robinson Provides Depth and Versatility

Robinson is a versatile lineman who can play both guard and tackle. He started 16 games at left tackle for the Browns in 2021, allowing just two sacks.

The Eagles hope Robinson can provide depth to their offensive line, which lost Brandon Brooks to a torn Achilles tendon in Week 2 of the 2022 season.

Robinson's Career History

Robinson was a standout at Auburn, where he earned consensus All-American honors in 2012 and 2013. He was selected by the St. Louis Rams with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Robinson spent four seasons with the Rams before being traded to the Detroit Lions in 2017. He signed with the Browns in 2021 after spending the 2020 season with the New Orleans Saints.

Robinson Adds Experience to Eagles Offensive Line

The Eagles' offensive line is considered one of the best in the NFL. The unit helped Philadelphia rank fifth in the league in rushing yards per game in 2022.

Robinson's addition provides the Eagles with another experienced lineman who can help protect quarterback Jalen Hurts and open up holes for the running game.
